Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible?

KingPitch (kingpitch.com) is a service of KingPitch (sole proprietorship, Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 59533013). For privacy questions email kingpitchapp@gmail.com.

For your own account and payments, KingPitch is the controller under the GDPR. For the team and player data you enter as an organiser, you are the controller and we process that data only on your behalf (we are the processor).

2. What data do we process?

• Account: email address, name and sign-in method (Google, Apple or email).
• Tournament data you enter: name, date, location, teams, clubs, logos, results and, if you enable it, player names and goal scorers.
• Registrations: team name, club, contact name, phone number and email, and optionally a team logo and player names.
• Payments: amount, date, product and payment ID. Card or bank details are handled by the payment provider; we do not see them.
• Technical data: IP address and device or browser details, for security, abuse prevention and fixing faults.
• Messages and feedback you send us.

3. What do we use it for?

• To provide the service: an account, tournaments, licenses, live scores and the public tournament page (performance of the contract).
• To meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping and tax rules.
• To secure and improve the service and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
• For newsletters or other messages only with your consent.

4. Player and children’s data

Many tournaments are for youth. Only enter what is needed, for example a first name or nickname and the team name. As an organiser you make sure players or their parents know their data is used for the tournament and that you have consent where required, especially for children under 16.

The public tournament page shows team names, schedule, results and standings, and goal scorers only if you enable that. You can delete a tournament at any time; the public page then disappears too.

5. Who do we share data with?

We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising. We work with processors needed to run the service:

• Base44: hosting, database and sending email.
• Stripe: handling payments for licenses and packages.
• Mollie: only if you enable online entry fees for your tournament.
• Google and Apple: only if you sign in with them.

Some of these parties may process data outside the European Economic Area, with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long do we keep data?

• We keep your account and tournament data until you delete it.
• If you delete your account, we delete the account and all tournaments with teams, matches, players and registrations.
• Payment records are kept longer, up to 7 years, because the law requires it for bookkeeping.
• Technical logs are kept briefly and only as long as needed for security and faults.

7. Security

Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Access is role-based: organiser, manager, referee and visitor see and do different things. License data can only be changed by our server. Referee access codes are not publicly visible.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use functional storage in your browser for signing in, language, the feedback button position, install instructions and a queue for results when you briefly lose signal. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for advertising.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port your data.

• Delete: via Delete account (page /account-verwijderen) or by email.
• Take with you: in My profile you can export all your tournament data as a file (JSON).
• Other requests: email kingpitchapp@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

10. Complaints

If you disagree with how we handle your data, contact us first. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

11. Changes

We may update this policy, for example when the service changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
